Winter FUNcation Holiday Workshops for 5-8 year-olds

Don’t worry about “cabin fever.” With the calendar falling the way it is for the Christmas holiday and for 2025, we can only offer TWO days of our Winter FUNcation, so come explore and see there is no shortage of indoor fun. Saturday 12/6 provides a Saturday morning opportunity and Saturday 12/20 provides a full day with Lunch Bunch availability if a Christmas shopping day is needed.

Offered for 5-8 year-olds. Children attending am & pm classes may pack a light lunch if attending both workshops.  All workshops recommended a snack and water bottle.

Winter WonderFUN
Saturday 12/6 9:00am-Noon
Pretend being “snowed in” creating healthy winter treats to feed birds in the cold weather, make “snow”, paper bag snowflakes, shredded paper snowmen and a special winter snack.

Snowed-in Science
Saturday 12/20 9:00am-Noon
Brrr? Winter is in the air. Children discover entertaining “winter” themed science hypotheses making snow and oobleck snowflakes, magical foaming snowmen and the ever popular, winter slime, while sharing facts about winter solstice.

No Bake Culinary Afternoon
Saturday 12/20 1:00pm-4:00pm
With winter “blowing in” as the theme for these snacks, children enjoy the process of “preparing” food, creating snowmen pizzas and gingerbread men shaped sandwiches, listening to a story and drinking hot chocolate.
