Studio Art Workshop-A Creative Exploration

Children journey through a sensory process while developing artistic talents, tearing, snipping and cutting, discovering, collecting and arranging to create a multitude of inspiring themed art using various plain and textured papers, fabric scraps, torn images from magazines, cardboard, scissors, hole punches, colored tape, glue, paint of many enchanting varieties and colors and yarn, wool or string of several kinds. Presenting a one-week full-day immersion workshop for young thespians, step into the world of theatre this summer in our action-packed, all-day program and embrace our exciting process of bringing a story to life on stage. Young thespians transform raw materials into a set that transports our audience to another world, exploring the art of character development and discovering how to project their voice with confidence. Journey into the world of William Shakespeare and discover his incredible contributions to the English language and the performing arts and collaborate with fellow artists to create a memorable theatrical experience. More sensory experiences evolve from papermaking and painting their own paper with desired and inspired colors as children snip, tear, gather and arrange from trays full of colorful piles of paper to create a textural result.
