Monday, March 11th–HiJinx The Amazing Castle self-guided Jester scavenger hunt from 10:00am-4:00pm.

T​uesday, March 12th–Juicebox Jukebox enriches children’s lives through fun, positive, and educational music that focuses on core subjects and character-building themes with a fresh perspective. Get ready to sing along at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm.  Safety Day-From 10:00am-12:30pm explore a police vehicle, firetruck, and ambulance and talk with the people who keep us safe. Appointments required for car seat check, click for appointments.

Wednesday, March 13th–Lucas Miller, the Singing Zoologist builds children’s scientific confidence and curiosity with his STEM-tastic, multimedia presentations, featuring dazzling visuals, smart songwriting, laugh-out-loud comedy, and accurate science. Enjoy presentations at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm.  BEE amazed by a visit from The Bee Lady at 11:00am and discover facts about bees.

Thursday, March 14th–Le Theatre de Marionette presents two musical variety shows featuring several entertaining and unique marionettes at 11:00am and 1:00pm

Friday, March 15th–SaulPaul Productions Children’s musician performances at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:30pm. GRAMMY Award-nominated artist SaulPaul has garnered an international reputation as a musician with a message. Part rapper/part singer-songwriter, SaulPaul is an entertaining artist who blends his voice, his guitar, and his loop pedal to create a live show that is nothing less than an experience

Saturday, March 16th–Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with dancing performances by the McTeggart Irish Dancers at 10:30am and 11:30am. Special Storytime reading 11am.

A Week of Spring BreaKation Entertainment at The Woodlands Children’s Museum

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will host a week full of special performances, music, and science during this year’s Spring BreaKation on Monday, March 11th though Saturday, March 16th.

“Spring Break presents an excellent opportunity for families to visit the museum to enjoy live entertainment as well as to experience our temporary exhibit, The Amazing CastleTM,” stated Angela Colton, the museum’s Executive Director. “We have a little something for everyone this week, from fire trucks to slime, and from science presentations to leprechauns. We do our best to schedule a wide variety of performers that pique children’s curiosity and evoke excitement.”
Throughout the week, children will have an opportunity to enjoy Science Palooza and experiment with science activities from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Topics will include Color Changing Potions, Fossils & Gem Discovery, Go BEE-hind the scenes with the Bee Lady, Einstein’s Birthday/Pi Day with Einstein Slime, and Identify Animals by their tracks.
On Monday, March 11th, families can visit The Amazing CastleTM exhibit while on a self-guided HiJinx the Jester scavenger hunt. Harvest food for a meal in the Great Hall or dress as a villager while using castle-character puppets in the Royal Puppet Theatre.

On Tuesday, March 12th, enjoy the musical talent of Texas Commission on the Arts touring artist Juicebox Jukebox at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm. Performances feature fun, positive, educational music and videos for parents and children. Guest are also invited to step outside to The Woodlands Township Safety Day from 10:00am-12:30pm, climb aboard a fire truck and ambulance and receive safety tips from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The Singing Zoologist, Lucas Miller, will visit on Wednesday, March 13th, for songs and mini-lessons for budding biologists! This Austin-based performer is part of the touring roster for the Texas Commission on the Arts and inspires children with science-based multimedia shows. Four shows will be offered at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm. Also, on Wednesday at 11:00am, BEE amazed by a visit from The Bee Lady and discover facts about bees while safely meeting a few in person!

On Thursday, March 14th, the museum is excited to welcome Le Theatre de Marionette who will present a highly animated musical variety show featuring several entertaining and unique marionettes at 11:00am and 1:00pm.

Leaping Leprechauns! On Saturday, March 16th, wear your favorite green attire, pose for pictures with the roaming leprechaun, and enjoy the McTeggart Irish Dance performances at 10:30am and 11:30am. A special Storybook Theatre will take place at 11:00am and be sure to check the pot of gold for a prize before you leave!

During Spring BreaKation week, the museum will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 4:00pm. On Saturday, March 9th and March 16th, we will be open from 10:00am – 5:00pm. The museum is closed on Sundays. All events are included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older.
