Santa’s Ho Ho Ho Down, Saturday December 7th, 8:00am-11:00am.
Nothing cooks up a Holiday Ho Ho Ho down like a country breakfast that includes eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy….and of course, Santa.
Mingle the morning away after that “fine breakfast”, while meeting Santa for a personal photo, shaking hands with Olaf from Frozen and posing for a special photo, delighting in interactive moments with snow play and Christmas Sensory play, writing a letter to Santa, and creating individual Christmas art projects.
Children can “pan” for gold with the gold rush game, try their skill at a rope and pony game and take home a special goodie bag from Santa and treats from our candy bar.
Taking a break from all the fun, guests can sing along with TCA Touring Artist Will Dupuy who will perform three 45-minute sets from 8:00am – 11:00am. His music will include performances on the fiddle, bass, and percussion. Mr. Dupuy is an in-demand natural showman who plays multiple instruments and has a personality as big as his signature upright bass and as bright as his wide smile.
His sing-along “hoedown” style incorporates equal parts of teaching and performing for energetic young audiences. Infectious melodies, including Christmas ones, combined with upbeat lyrics make his performances truly loved among pre-schoolers and early-elementary students, who love to clap, march, jump and dance along to their favorite songs.
We appreciate the Texas Legislature’s support of this program. Without funding from the Arts Respond grant, the museum would not be able to provide this opportunity to area families. We encourage you to support continued funding for TCA and enrich the lives of children through lifelong appreciation for learning and the arts.
