Sensory-Friendly Visiting Hours
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and explore in a way that feels comfortable for them.
For families who prefer a quieter museum experience, we recommend visiting Tuesday through Friday from 1:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m. During these weekday afternoon hours, the museum is typically less crowded, creating a calmer environment for children who may be sensitive to noise, crowds, or other sensory stimulation.
Throughout the year, we also offer Sensory-Friendly Special Events that feature a welcoming atmosphere designed with sensory needs in mind. These events may include reduced attendance, lower sound levels, and thoughtfully planned activities to help children and families enjoy the museum at their own pace.
