Job Description

-Work with education team to develop curriculum, purchase supplies, create schedules and ensure mission of museum and vision of individual programs are represented in all activities
-Assist Executive Director in establishing brochures for Fall, Spring and Summer workshops, as well as creating calendar submissions for monthly educational floor programs
-Oversee administrative aspects of programs including registration, scheduling, collecting survey data
-Communicates with all staff to ensure that they are informed of programming and workshop schedules

-Position is approximately 30 hours per week from September to April, 40 hours per week from May to August.

Skills Required

-College degree in Education, Child Development or equivalent work experience
-Experience with curriculum or lesson plan development and facilitation of programs for young audiences
-Ability to prioritize and work in a timely, efficient, and organized manner
-Attentive to communications, budgeting and adhering to deadlines
-Strong work ethic and ability to maintain positive attitude when stressful situations arise
-Embodies a passion for working with children and families in our community

Compensation: Base rate is $12.00 – $13.00 per hour
