Start Your Holiday Shopping at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Skip the crowds and long lines this holiday season – and make your way to The Woodlands Children’s Museum to start your holiday shopping. There are several gift ideas and ways to get into the holiday spirit at the museum:
1. Hit the gift shop. The museum has a gift shop offering affordable games and toys – perfect for young creative minds. Executive director of the museum, Angela Colton, carefully curates the shop for classic toys and fun gift ideas. “We choose items that will stimulate children’s minds and encourage creative play,” she said.
2. Pick up a gift membership. A membership to the museum is a gift that keeps giving all year. Family memberships are available for $76 and offer a full year of unlimited visits for a family of four, as well as a discount on classes, camps and birthday parties. Shoppers also can pick up a Day Pass gift certificate for $6 or a Grandparent Yearly Membership for $66.
3. Show some love for the museum by ordering a tabletop centerpiece. The museum’s annual holiday fundraiser, Winter Whimsy, provides a chance to support the museum and obtain a lovely, fragrant Fraser fir centerpiece. The tabletop arrangements are priced at $37.
4. Sign up for Winter FUNcation. While parents finish up their last-minute shopping, children are invited for a fun time at the museum. There are several programs planned for the museum’s “Winter FUNcation” for children ages 4 to 8. Parents may pick and choose courses for their children to attend. The cost for each workshop is $34 for members and $54 for non-members.
