Storybook Theatre Friday, October 21st at 11am presents “The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend” by Dan Santat. We are so excited about our new temporary exhibit, Young at Art: A Selection of Caldecott Book Illustrations. The Caldecott Medal, named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott, is awarded annually to the artist of an outstanding American children’s picture book. Today’s story, the recipient of The Caldecott Medal in 2015, introduces us to a sweet imaginary friend on a far-away island who sets off to the big city to find a real child to be his friend. Included in the price of admission, which is $7.50 for adults and children 1 year and older. bit.ly/TWCMtickets #BookReading #StoryTime #ChildrensBook #Educate #Empower #Excite
