At The Woodlands Children’s Museum, we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for every child. In support of neurodiverse families, we are introducing sensory-friendly hours to provide a comfortable, engaging, and low-stress experience for visitors of all abilities.

What does “sensory-friendly” mean?
“Sensory-friendly” refers to environments and experiences designed for individuals who may have heightened sensitivity to sensory input such as light, sound, touch, or smell. This sensitivity is often associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other sensory processing differences. Sensory-friendly spaces aim to reduce these triggers and create a more supportive, accessible experience for all.
