The Woodlands Children’s Museum will put science in the spotlight during its NanoDays 2017.
The event is slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19th.
The museum is partnering with the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net), a national community of researchers and science educators dedicated to fostering public awareness, engagement and understanding of nanoscale science, engineering and technology. Hands on Science experiments will take place throughout the day.
“Our one -day event includes learning experiences to explore the minuscule world of atoms, molecules and nanoscale forces” the museum’s executive director Angela Colton said. “NanoDays, however, is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future.” Around the U.S., scientist are joining with museums and other informal educational organizations to create learning experiences.
At the Woodland’s Children’s Museum the planned activities are designed for adults and children to explore certain products and materials and their properties to better understand science at the nanoscale.
