Chikawa Aztec Dancers

Walk off all the turkey and dressing and join us for live entertainment on Friday, November 26th with the Chikawa Aztec Dancers at 11:30am, 12:30pam, 1:30pm & 2:30pm. In recognition of Native American Indian Heritage Month, the museum will be honoring and celebrating with a special performance by the Chikawa Aztec Dancers (meaning “strong” in the Nahuatl language), a local cultural group representing the Aztec culture through modern Aztec dance and traditions. This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Don’t miss a special Storybook Theatre with Ms. Jan as she shares a delightful Thanksgiving interactive storytime reading “A Native American Trickster Tale- Coyote” by Gerald McDermott. When Coyote, the Trickster, wants to sing, dance and fly like the crows, he gets into trouble.

All events are included in the price of admission, which is $7 for adults and children 1 year and older.
