Children’s Book Week is the annual celebration of sharing books and the joy of reading with children.
Established in 1919, it is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the United States. Every year The Woodlands Children’s Museum recognizes this special week through daily events and special guests. This year is no different; we’re just doing it “virtually”! Join us in this special celebration of children’s books and authors!

Visiting Author Sara Triana Mitchell will be virtually reading “Every Day is Making Day” as well as encouraging children to be creative and “make the thing” they were born to create. Sara is also the author of Love Love Bakery: A Wild Home for All. Both books are available for purchase at saratrianamitchell.com/shop and can also be ordered from Blue Willow Books in Houston.
