Author meet-and-greet with Susan Langlois on Wednesday, July 31, from 11am-12:30pm.  Susan will be reading her book, Everything is Going to Be All Right: A Book About Hurricane Harvey, at 11:00 on stage; and that will be immediately followed by a meet-and-greet where she’ll sell and sign her books until 12:30.

A formerly deaf woman who now hears with a cochlear implant, Susan Langlois writes stories of overcoming adversity and the power of hope.

Susan is a retired teacher, having taught for 30 years collectively in Pasadena ISD, Livingston ISD, Bryan ISD, Conroe ISD and Spring ISD. Along the way, Susan was honored to receive FIVE (5) Spring Education Foundation grants to facilitate student learning. Susan also was honored by the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce for saving the life of a motorist and was a finalist in the prestigious HEB Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2014, Susan began a worldwide kindness movement via Building a Culture of Kindness Facebook page as she attempts to use the worldwide web to spread a positive message of kindness and hope.

Susan has several more children’s books on the way. She is determined to write and share messages of hope, love and strength until her fingers can no longer click the keys on the keyboard.  Susan has lived in The Woodlands for 17 years. When she is not writing, Susan enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, working with children and watching Houston Astros Baseball.
