Sign up now for spring workshops at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Children will enjoy these sessions designed to promote self-expression, imagination and exploration of science, art and culture.
Our workshops offer age-appropriate activities that are especially designed to foster creativity and promote self-expression and develop a young child’s imagination through the arts, dramatic play, squishing, sorting , mixing, swirling, collecting and building.
For children 2 to 3 years old, Early Childhood Explorations invites grown-ups to guide their little ones in the process of developing motor skills while stimulating their brains with Little Picassos, which allows budding artists to try a variety of media, and Happy Feet to get young dancers moving to the beat while they learn coordination and communication skills.
For 4- and 5-year-olds, KindeReady Workshops pave the way for the first day of school by encouraging a love of books and presenting a variety of engaging activities. Each session explores a different theme.
Creative Workshops, designed for children ages 4 to 10, are perfect for after school or homeschoolers and include ARTrageous Workshops, combining the study of culture with the discovery of various art styles, and Got Science? the perfect place for children aged 4 to 6 to take a journey through biology, chemistry, anatomy, space and physics.
Students ages 6 to 10 can sign up for the ARTrageous Club, an after-school club that allows participants to explore different media while learning about inspirational artists.
Aspiring engineers will enjoy Robotiks Workshops such as: Lego Frenzy meets Righteous Robotiks, for ages 4 to 8, children will learn basic concepts of building, design and problem-solving; for ages 7 to 10, LEGOology navigates various science concepts, from geology to chemistry; and for 7- to 10-year-olds, the E.A.R.L.Y. (Engineering and Robotics Learned Young) Robotics Workshop introduces engineering concepts to students while they build robots and motorized models
Children ages 4 to 8 will enjoy Bollywood-Dancing with Joy, a fun introduction to a unique dance form and Indian culture. Students will learn storytelling, self-expression and rhythm in this workshop.
Second Saturday Workshops, designed for children ages 5 to 8, are just $12 for two hours of fun and include: Children making their own “Fat Tuesday” fashion for Mardi Gras Madness from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 11; and the history of masks will inspire an exciting art project from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 22. Children enrolled in Mask Mania will use clay, paper and other media to create their own art pieces.
