Author visit with Ellie Gordy and her granddaughter, Ashlynn Fletcher Friday, Oct. 18th 11:00am-12:30pm.
During a special Storybook Theater, Ellie and Ashlynn will be reading the book they co-wrote, “Three Little Unicorns and a Dragon” 🦄🦄🦄🐉 on stage at 11:00am followed by a meet-and-greet where they will be selling and signing their book until 12:30pm.
Ellie Gordy is a first-time children’s book author, who collaborated with her granddaughter, Ashlynn Fletcher, on Three Little Unicorns and a Dragon. The story is a fractured fairy tale based on The Three Little Pigs, Ashlynn’s favorite story. Ellie resides in Humble with her husband and has two daughters. She has a Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education, has taught in private and public schools for 24 years, and recently retired from teaching elementary-level dual language in New Caney ISD. Ashlynn is seven and loves to read, sing, and swim. She enjoys art and is an avid collector of unicorns and “My Little Ponies.” She recently attended music camp with the Houston Show Choir and is an Astros fan and member of the Astros Buddies, having been invited to call the game in June 2017 after Channel 13 featured her singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
