SUMMARY:POP-UP SCIENCE in October
DESCRIPTION:Fall into STEAM with our October POP-UP SCIENCE activities!\nAre you looking for fun\, hands-on weekday activities for your children? Drop by our Pop-Up Science station every Thursday from 10am – 12pm for exciting\, interactive learning: \nOctober 1st – Candy Corn Boats \nIn this fun Halloween STEM challenge\, children will become engineers and design a mini “boat” using aluminum foil and candy corn. This hands-on activity encourages children to explore buoyancy\, weight\, balance\, and engineering while practicing problem-solving and making predictions. \nOctober 8th – Pumpkin Sprouts \nStop by our Pop-Up Science station to explore the life cycle of a pumpkin. Children will be guided to pick out their seeds and “plant” them in a clear bag so they can easily observe growth at home. \nOctober 15th – Pumpkins\, do they float?\nExplore buoyancy with this easy\, hands-on experiment using pumpkins of different sizes. Students will practice their prediction and scientific observation skills while learning about density. \nOctober 22nd – Marshmallow S’mores Structures\nStop by our Pop-Up Science station for a Fall activity that encourages children to build\, balance\, and engineer with s’mores! Using toothpicks\, graham crackers\, and marshmallows\, guests can design and build their own campfire creations. \nOctober 29th – Growing Ghosts\nStop by our Pop-Up Science station to explore chemical reactions through this fun Halloween-themed experiment. Using household materials\, children will observe how a chemical reaction produces gas that makes their balloon “ghost” grow. \nWhich weekly theme is your little scientist most excited for? \nThis Floor Program is included in the price of admission\, which is $10 for adults and children 1 year and older. #STEAMKids #SensoryPlay #MuseumEarlyLearning
