Guests are invited to sing along and contribute their voices to cherished classics such as “Octopus’s Garden” and “Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini”.\nWe are celebrating Children’s Book Week with a special “Picture Book Boogie” Boogie Bash at 11:00am.\nThen during the day enjoy a self-guided Picture Book Scavenger Hunt. \nWednesday\, May 7th\nPets with a Mission from 9:30am – 10:45am. Volunteer dog teams will be present\, offering children the opportunity to interact and read a brief story to the visiting pups. Among the participating teams will be Jo and her Standard Poodle\, Boo\, as well as Shelly and her Golden Retriever\, Evie.  At 11am\, Community reader\, Deputy Sheriff Carlos Tavarez will read “Officer Buckle and Gloria”.  Visit with PaperPie from 9:30am-2:00pm \nThursday\, May 8th at 11:00am \nAuthor Katie Schon will read Painting Wonders followed by a meet-and-greet\, where she will sell and sign her books until 12:15pm. Tolkien on stage at 11:00am followed by a meet-and-greet\, where she will sell and sign her books until 12:15.  Katie Wray Schon is an author and illustrator who loves making beautiful books.  She grew up in Rhode Island but now lives in Texas\, where she can usually be found with a paintbrush in hand. She has a wonderful family; and together they love art\, books\, the outdoors\, and road trips.
