SUMMARY:Santa’s Holiday Ho Ho Ho Down
DESCRIPTION:Nothing cooks up a Holiday Ho Ho Ho down like a country breakfast that includes eggs\, sausage\, biscuits and gravy….and of course\, Santa. \nMingle the morning away after that “fine breakfast”\, while meeting Santa for a personal photo\, shaking hands with Olaf from Frozen and posing for a special photo\, delighting in interactive moments with snow play and Christmas Sensory play\, writing a letter to Santa\, and creating individual Christmas art projects. Children can “pan” for gold with the gold rush game\, try their skill at a rope and pony game and take home a special goodie bag from Santa and treats from our candy bar. \nSing along “hoedown” style with TCA Touring Artist Mr. Will Dupuy\, His music will include performances on the fiddle\, bass\, and percussion.   Mr. Will is an Austin-based artist who performs at over 150 events each year across the state.   He has recently released his third CD of original children’s songs\, performed acoustically on the stand up bass\, drums\, and fiddle. \nWe appreciate the Texas Legislature’s support of this program. Without funding from the Arts Respond grant\, the museum would not be able to provide this opportunity to area families.  We encourage you to support continued funding for TCA and enrich the lives of children through lifelong appreciation for learning and the arts. \n \nChildren $30. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday July 9th at 10:30am\, Noon and 1:30pm. Enjoy hands on activities and Japanese Dance performances. \nTanabata\, (Evening of the Seventh) or the Star Festival\, is held on the evening of July 7. The festival traces its origins to a mythological legend that the Cowherd Star (Altair) and Weaver Star (Vega)\, lovers separated by the Milky Way\, are allowed to meet just once a year – on the seventh day of the seventh month.\nChildren and adults write their wishes on narrow strips of colored paper and hang them\, along with other paper ornaments\, on bamboo branches placed in the backyards or entrances of their homes and then hope their wishes come true.
