DESCRIPTION:Reed Kotalik\nSaturday\, May 12\, from 11:00-12:30\nVisiting child author Reed Kotalik will be reading his book\, Running with Reed: Be a Better Somebody\, Sat. May 12th at 11am with a meet and greet until 12:30pm \nReed Kotalik\, a Woodlands resident and young competitive runner with Cerebral\nPalsy has teamed up with Tammi Keen of Civin Media Relations to share his story.\nReed may have Cerebral Palsy\, but that won’t stop him from giving his all to being\nthe best athlete\, brother\, and friend he can be! Every day he strives to be a better\nsomebody by thinking of others and he invites readers to do the same! \nRunning with Reed: Be a Better Somebody \, illustrated by Archangelo Crelencia\,\ntells the story of Reed\, an eight-year- old boy with Cerebral Palsy who embraced the\nsport of running soon after his fifth birthday. The story follows Reed’s journey to\nbecome competitive on a national level in track and field. Along the way\, he\nembraces several charitable causes to help others. The book is based on the true\nstory of Reed’s path to live each day with the hope that he can be a better\nsomebody and help inspire others to do the same. \nRetail price of the book is 12.95\nBut for this event Reed will donate 2.00 of every book sold onsite at the event to the Children’s Museum. \nRetail price of the companion coloring book is 5.95. We love this activity and coloring book because it has a page that invited kids to make a list of what they can do to help others and a page where they can “dream big” like Reed.\nFor this event Reed will donate 1.00 of every coloring book sold onsite to the Children’s Museum. They will accept Visa\, MasterCard\, and AMEX.
