DESCRIPTION:Children’s Book Week May 1-7 \nSaturday\, May 6\, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.:  Kathy Duval\, author of A Bear’s Year\, will do a reading and power point presentation at 10:30 followed by a “meet and greet” and book signing till 12:00.  \nAuthor Kathy Duval has lived most of her life in Texas. Her latest book\, A BEAR’S YEAR (Schwartz & Wade @ Random House) celebrates the passing of seasons\, following a mother bear and her cubs through the course of a year. Kathy was inspired to write this book after visiting Alaska and seeing bears in the wild. \nKathy is also the author of THE THREE BEARS’ HALLOWEEN  and THE THREE BEARS’ CHRISTMAS (Holiday House)\, and TAKE ME TO YOUR BBQ (Disney Hyperion). Children will have the opportunity to develop their skills in engineering and technology as well as language and literacy by working on these theme- based challenges. Hands-on Lego® building.  There will also be a great DUPLO® activity for our little ones.
