DESCRIPTION:Shadow Puppet Theatre presents\, “When Spring Comes” by Kevin Henkes \nBefore spring comes\, the trees are dark sticks\, the grass is brown\, and the ground is covered in snow. But if you wait\, leaves unfurl and flowers blossom\, the grass turns green\, and the mounds of snow shrink and shrink. Spring brings baby birds\, sprouting seeds\, rain and mud\, and puddles. You can feel it and smell it and hear it—and you can read it! \nAn introduction to storytelling elements which allows our readers and audience to interact directly with each other\, children of all ages are enchanted with the animated shadows created by manipulating cut-outs behind a sheet and in front of a bare bulb lamp representing characters in the story being read out loud.\nNo reservation needed. Free with paid admission.
