The museum is hosting a number of special live performance events throughout the week:

3/11 Princess Merida from “Brave” 11am, Noon, 1pm & 2pm. Join us for a special storytime with Princess Merida from Brave dressed in her famous Scottish attire.
Merida will read for 20 minutes at 11 a.m., noon, 1 and 2 p.m. After each reading there will be a photo opportunity.


3/12 Safety Day 10am-2pm. Indoors enjoy Tom’s Fun Band 10:30am-12:30pm and Andy Roo 1:30pm-3:30pm.
Outside entertainment includes, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch presents Safety Day at the Museum. Visit with first responders and climb aboard public safety vehicles including a MCHD ambulance, Woodlands fire truck (10:00 am – 12:00 pm), and MCSO patrol car. Learn about fire safety in the inflatable Safety House. Friendly Firefighter presentation will be at 10:45 and 11:45, MC 9-1-1 Cell Phone Sally at 11:00 and noon. 9-1-1 “Cell Phone Sally” 11:00am & 12:00pm

The car seat check sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids Greater Houston will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

3/13 Musical Instrument Petting Zoo 10am-2pm. 
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion hosts an instrument petting zoo where kids (and adults too!) are able to see, hold and play numerous musical instruments. Children are able to experience new instruments and learn more about the sounds, often this is the first time a child will have the opportunity to play a violin, drum or trumpet!
