Mother’s Day Silhouettes
Saturday May 6th and Saturday 13th 10am-5pm

Silhouette Artist Patti Rishforth will be with us for two days offering her one of a kind art of cutting your child’s profile from a special piece of paper. Patti is exclusively here for these two days in The Woodlands creating these timeless keepsakes. Appointments & prepayment will be  taken at front desk of Museum starting Monday, April 3rd, 2017

The process only takes 2 to 3 minutes, so your child will not be sitting long.  No need for the child to be dressed fancy as it is from the shoulders up, and if wanted, hair bows can be added.
Whether it’s a baby, toddler, squirmy child or teen or an anxious adult, the subject does not have to be as still as a statue. The artist only needs the occasional glance of just the right pose. This is literally, the “stress-free” portrait! It is a unique, dying art form and there are only a dozen or so of us in the United States. This method involves no drawing or tracing. It originated in France in the late 18th century. Silhouettes were the snapshot before the camera came along!

The Museum will receive 20% of every item sold!
