Ferry Boat Challenge- Children may make flat ferryboats with low sides out of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Experiment with the boats to see if they float. Put pennies in the boat to see how many it can hold before it sinks. Have them arrange the pennies differently in the boat to see if that affects how many it can hold before it sinks. Talk about how cars are arranged on the ferryboat so it balances and is more stable. This hands-on learning experience will introduce science vocabulary and simple science concepts while keeping your child engaged. Explore the world through these interactive explorations which are suitable for ages 6 and under. Free with paid admission.
