Miss Jan will be leading creative movement activities from the CD, Literacy in Motion by The Learning Station, based on classic children’s picture books. The book will be read first followed by the activity with the exception of “There Was an Old Lady…, which will be “told” along with the song using a large puppet.
· “Wild Things” (based on Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak)
· “Head to Toe Dance” (based on From Head to Toe by Eric Carle)
· “I Know an Old Lady” (based on There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly by Simms Taback)
Available for young toddlers and children up to 5 years old, Boogie Bash provides children with a preliminary introduction to the space around them, encourages cooperation, promotes social interaction, develops a sense of rhythm, strengthens listening skills and enhances language development.
